I think right now you can pay the one price for next year if you're a resident. Craigslist might have some cheap tickets. A lot of big companies around the San Diego area also give discounts, and if you know anyone that is in the military, they get ticket discounts.

Best bet would be to get a pass for several attractions but if you only go to one park look in the paper for a coupon.
Legoland has 50% adult tickets right now if your looking to save.
